Benham encourages campers to “show us your spot”
This Easter, having fought the crowds and laid claim to your strip of dirt, and as you settle into your cobwebbed camping chair and grab a can (or cheeky wine) from the esky, be sure to send me a photo of your camping site, or, as we like to say here in regional Australia, “show us your spot.”
Gather your crew and tag your photos with #showusyourspot or send them to my socials @jadebenham_mp.
Camping is one of our favourite past times and we are spoilt for location choice here along the Murray River. Bragging about the brilliant location you’ve found comes hand in hand with camping and I strongly encourage a bit of rivalry among folks as to who has the best spot.
Easter is a fantastic opportunity to unwind and relax, and, as always, I encourage everyone to make safety a priority. Please follow the authorities’ guidelines to stay safe and protect our environment, be courteous of other river users and please, for the love of the Easter Bunny, take your rubbish with you.
To support our emergency workers and keep everyone safe, I encourage all to follow road rules, stay vigilant near the water, drink responsibly, and show care and kindness to one another.
May your Easter basket be filled with chocolate and may your days be full of hot cross buns and fun.
