Member for Mildura, Jade Benham invites all to join her in getting a move on at this year’s Mother’s Day Classic.
In 2024, the Mother’s Day Classic will expand its reach and impact by offering participants the opportunity to take part and fundraise in support of ovarian cancer research, in addition to breast cancer research.
“When you raise funds for Mother’s Day Classic, you’re supporting the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation to conduct research to prevent, detect, treat, and ultimately, stop breast and ovarian cancer.
“In Australia, 12 women lose their lives to breast and ovarian cancer every day.”
The Women in Super Mother’s Day Classic is Australia’s most inspirational, cause-driven community event. Every year, thousands of Australians come together on Mother’s Day to start their Mother’s Day with purpose.
Their aim is to unite and inspire the community, create a fun and engaging event experience, to celebrate and remember those touched by breast and ovarian cancer and to raise life-saving funds for research.
“I’d like to congratulate the Mildura team for working tirelessly and putting on what I am sure will be another great event this year,” said Ms Benham.
“So, come and join me this Mother’s Day at Lock 11 Lawns and walk or run to make a difference.”
