The Nationals Member for Mildura, Jade Benham, has been appointed to the Victorian Parliament’s Public Accounts and Estimates Committee (PAEC), a prestigious role that places her at the forefront of government accountability and transparency.
PAEC is one of Parliament’s most influential committees, tasked with scrutinising public expenditure, examining the government’s financial performance, and ensuring taxpayer funds are used responsibly.
Ms. Benham’s appointment underscores her commitment to advocating for her electorate and the whole of regional Victoria and ensuring its voice is heard in key decisions impacting the state.
“I am honoured to join the Public Accounts and Estimates Committee and to take on this vital role in holding the government accountable for its spending and policies,” Ms. Benham said.
