The Nationals’ Member for Mildura, Jade Benham, was fortunate to attend Sunraysia Community Health Services’ Family & Community Hub open day, which showcased their newly constructed space.
The Family & Community Hub, located on Lime Avenue, Mildura was created with the assistance of state government funding and is an extension of existing services in a larger space. It is open to all families and is a starting point for those needing services, referrals or advice. It features clinical, therapy, resting and observation rooms as well as offering feeding and nappy changing areas.
Parents can access critical resources, expert guidance, and explore opportunities to connect with others. The Hub offers pre-natal education, post-natal care to ongoing support for new parents.
“This incredible milestone represents a vital investment in the health, well-being, and support of families in our community,” Ms Benham said.
“I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Sunraysia Community Health Services and the Family & Community team on the opening of their brand-new building. This is a wonderful achievement and a testament to the incredible dedication, vision, and hard work of everyone involved in bringing this project to life.”
“This new facility is not just a building—it’s a space that will foster a sense of belonging and support the growth and well-being of our community.
“This new space will undoubtedly become a safe and welcoming haven where parents can find guidance, connection, and reassurance during one of the most important and life-changing journeys of their lives.
“Congratulations once again on this exciting new chapter. I look forward to seeing the incredible work that will be done in this wonderful new space!”
