Member for Mildura, Jade Benham is pleased to announce that as of November 1 Victorian residents can participate in the Container Deposit Scheme.
With confirmed locations in Mildura being Around Again and Exchange Depot. Robinvale residents will also be able to take their containers to J&J’s Trash and Treasure.
Most aluminium, glass, plastic and liquid paperboard (carton) drink containers between 150ml and 3 litres are eligible. Check for the 10c mark on the drink container label.
Applications for providers are still open. Collection point operators could be current businesses such as local sporting clubs, Nurseries, Hardware stores, Supermarkets, and/or Newsagents.
“Being part of CDS Vic can generate additional income for many small businesses and delivers benefits to communities, the environment, and the economy,” said Ms Benham.
