Member for Mildura Jade Benham visited Buloke Shire Council and Hopetoun on Monday as part of her commitment to swim in every pool in her municipality for the Starlight Super Swim.
Ms Benham has been actively visiting community pools all February, using the opportunity to chat with residents and listen to what matters to them in their community and electorate.
Although the opening times of the facilities made it a challenge to swim in both pools, Ms took a dip in the “chilly” Lake Lascelles and was able to complete a few laps at Donald Swimming Pool, where she ran into Buloke Shire Councillor and former Mayor Daryl Warren.
She also had the opportunity to call through Beulah.
Ms Benham has been accepting donations throughout the month, and would like to express her thanks to Donald’s John McConnville, who helped her reach her fundraising target.
Ms Benham will end her Starlight Super Swim on Tuesday afternoon at Mildura Waves.
