Whilst we respect the cultural and environmental impacts on areas around Lake Tyrell. Small towns rely on events such as the Mallee Rally.
This event is not just for the economic value, but events like these are the threads that sew the social fabric of regional towns together.
The State Government seems more intent on cancelling iconic country events to meet the needs of a few rather than work with the entire community to benefit an entire region.
I will keep advocating to the Ministers and work with the Sea Lake Off Road committee to bring back the Mallee Rally in a more suitable location.
