I would like to congratulate the Charlton RSL Sub-Branch on receiving a grant to assist with the restoration of the Charlton Cenotaph. The funding will support important work to repoint and clean the memorial, ensuring this special site continues to honour the service of local veterans for years to come and preserving this important site of remembrance.
The Charlton RSL team’s effort in obtaining the grant is reflection of the dedication, hard work, and community spirit that the team shows time and again. Local RSL sub-branches like Charlton’s play such an important role—not just in commemorating those who have served, but also in supporting veterans, their families, and the wider community.
Whether it’s through wellbeing programs, commemorative services, or simply offering a welcoming place for people to connect, the RSL continues to go above and beyond. It’s great to see their efforts being acknowledged and supported.
