I was fortunate to recently attend the Sunraysia Softball Association Life Members & Sponsors Day, a celebration of the incredible achievements of this longstanding sporting association and the dedication of the many individuals who work tirelessly to support the sport.
After being in recess for three years and facing a decline in member clubs, the executive of the Sunraysia Softball Association thought outside the box and joined the Riverland Softball Association. This move has not only ensured the continued viability of this proud association but also earned them a well-deserved nomination for the Mallee Sports Assembly 2024 Senior Team Award.
It was an honour to attend and throw the first pitch, and I sincerely thank the softballers of Sunraysia and Berri for including me in this special day.
