The Nationals’ Member for Mildura, Jade Benham, is encouraging local families to apply for the Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF).
Ms Benham said the Fund provides valuable financial assistance to eligible families, helping students take part in school camps, sporting programs and excursions.
“School camps, sporting activities and excursions are a key part of a child’s education, but rising costs can make participation difficult for some families. This support helps ensure that students don’t miss out because of financial pressure.”
Eligible families can apply through their child’s school, with funding paid directly to schools to support participation in approved activities.
Key details:
- Eligibility: Families holding a valid means-tested concession card, or those eligible under special categories, including temporary foster parents
- What it covers: School camps, excursions, outdoor education, and school-organised sports activities
- How to apply: Application forms and guidance are available through local schools
“With ongoing cost-of-living pressures, programs like this can make such a difference for families,” Ms Benham said.
I encourage parents and carers to check their eligibility and speak with their school for further information or visit www.vic.gov.au/camps-sports-and-excursions-fund.
