The Nationals’ Member for Mildura, Jade Benham, has congratulated local motorsport star Josh Waters on his incredible performance at Round 6 of the Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) at Phillip Island last weekend.
Waters has continued his dream season, winning Round 6 with a thrilling Race 1 victory and a hard-fought second place in Race 2, keeping his unbeaten round record alive. This marks six round wins from six rounds this season, a dominant run rarely seen in ASBK history.
Waters’ success continues Mildura’s proud motorsports tradition, once again shining a spotlight on the Sunraysia region.
“The Mildura community should be incredibly proud to see one of our own at the very top of his game in a national championship,” said Ms Benham.
“Josh Waters just keeps delivering for our community and for Australian motorsport. Six wins from six rounds, including another nail-biter at Phillip Island, is simply outstanding. His hard work, discipline, and talent are shining through every time he rides.”
Locals are encouraged to keep following Josh’s journey, as the ASBK season heads into its final stages, with three races in the final round at Tailem Bend in November.
