The Nationals’ Member for Mildura, Jade Benham, is proud to announce a significant investment in pedestrian safety for schools in Merbein around Merbein P–10 College and Our Lady Primary School.
Ms Benham has been working closely with local council and community groups to ensure these much-needed safety improvements are prioritised. The upgrades will include improved pedestrian connections and safer crossing points, making it easier and safer for students to travel to and from school.
“I am thrilled to see these essential projects coming to fruition in Merbein. The safety of our students is paramount, and these upgrades will provide peace of mind to parents and the broader community,” said Ms. Benham.
“This is a significant step forward in our ongoing efforts to enhance safety in our region.”
“This is a win for Merbein and a testament to the hard work and advocacy that has gone into making our local schools safer,” said Ms Benham.
The upgrades are expected to be completed later this year, ensuring that students and families can enjoy safer journeys to and from school by the start of the next school year.
