The Nationals’ Member for Mildura, Jade Benham, is urging the Premier to deliver on his promise to provide long day-care for Charlton.
The community of Charlton is suffering under the negligence of the Andrews Labor Government to deliver an operational childcare service.
“Families are suffering and are unable to work due to there being no childcare for their children despite the Government’s promise in 2019.
“The town has an entire workforce of teachers, nurses and accountants that very much want and need to return to the workforce but can not.
“The children of Charlton are missing out on early childhood education and socialisation which is incredibly important for any child’s development.”
The cost of living under the Andrews Labor Government is only increasing, forcing families to work and generate double incomes to support themselves. This can not be achieved when there is no childcare to enable this.
“life is getting harder under Labor as regional Victorians continue to be punished for the Government’s incompetence.”
